The 7 double-hit tools to SHRINK your belly and recharge

To get better digestion, a happy flat tummy and great energy you need to get the basics in place.

First of all, drink the right stuff, in the right amounts to get better digestion.

Tool 1: Ramp up hydration if you’re not drinking enough yet.

Drinking enough clean water is essential for your stools to be soft and easy to pass. This helps your body to flush out toxic waste thus keeping your belly flat and no stored waste dragging you down. What’s enough water depends on your body weight.

Have 25ml per kilogram body weight as a rule of thumb.

If you do exercise or the weather is hot, have more so that you keep the color of your urine a light champagne.

Tool 2: Cut back on coffee.

While coffee can trigger a bowel movement in some people, it also creates a stress response that slows digestion and makes your body hold on to fat particularly around your middle. So reduce your intake of coffee & co. to de-stress.

Have a chicory based substitute instead, herbal tea, or hot lemon & ginger.

For a big impact energy boost, try wheat grass juice.

Then eat what’s helpful and drop what’s not.

Tool 3: Eat a big salad with a dressing of healthy oils.

Fresh vegetables including lettuce contain loads of nutrients that your body needs to work well so that you feel healthy and full of energy.

The oil in the dressing will also help  keep things moving.

So dig in at your next meal, as greens, fresh veggies and healthy oils such as olive or avocado oil are your best friends when it comes to keeping your energy and digestion up.

Tool 4: Ditch the muffin.

Refined sugar is a big  factor when it comes to feeling tired and exhausted.  Remember that a sugar high is usually followed by a sugar crash. Not a recipe for great energy throughout the day! Plus bad microorganisms in your gut will have a field day if you’re putting on a sugar feast for them.

Better have fresh fruit as a snack or some raw nuts and seeds instead.

This will give you quick nutrient rich fuel should you get hungry between meals.

Last but not least, relax and get active to improve digestion and energy levels.

Tool 5: Take a deep breath.

Breathe deeply into your diaphragm. Try it for instant relaxation – important to combat stress putting the breaks on your digestion.

It also gives you an internal tummy massage to support bowel movements.I

Lat but not least, deep breathing gets oxygen into the lower parts of your lung and delivered throughout your body. This is important for healthy cell respiration to provide you with the energy to feel your best.

Tool 6: Do regular exercises.

To put it simply, your bowels won’t move if you don’t. So find a type of exercise that you enjoy and do it regularly. Also build physical activity into your daily life such as taking the stairs instead of the lift. Being more active will also get more oxygen into your blood stream for more energy.

These are simple but powerful tools that work.
