Are you struggling with switching to an energizing gut friendly diet because finding the time seems too difficult?
Or do you hate throwing food away, and clearing out your pantry for a fresh start seems too wasteful?
I fell into both categories, and I’ve got good news for you.
You neither need huge amounts of time nor throw out food to change your diet, boost your digestion and your energy levels.
The trick is to gradually ease into a gut friendly diet instead of going cold turkey.
You can do this by making a series of small changes over time and while it will take you longer to completely switch over, you’ll still get there. And reap the benefits that go with it.
Start with your groceries shopping. For example, just buy a couple more fresh vegetables and salads that you normally would and less processed foods.
At mealtime, have more of the veggies and salads. Reduce the amount of processed foods accordingly. Chopping up a lettuce and drizzling it with a bit of oil and vinegar is quick and easy. Or try simple one pot meals or stir-fries made from fresh vegetables, meat or fish.
Find recipes based on whole fresh foods that appeal to you. Keep it simple by choosing recipes with ingredients that are easy to get at the shops where you usually do your groceries. No detours and extra time required.
Drinking enough water is something you literally can do on the side. All it takes is to fill up your water bottle in the morning and sip on it throughout the day.
When you feel that the change you’ve made has become your new way of doing things, then go for the next one.
It’s baby steps but you can completely transform your diet, and digestive health this way. It will take you a little longer, but it’s a lot easier to fit into a busy lifestyle. Whenever you have a bit more room in your life, you can still go for bigger changes in one hit. This will fast-track your progress towards a healthy digestion and getting rid of constipation.
Then just keep going at the pace that’s right for you.
You’ll have transformed your diet before you know it, and be well on the way to improve your digestion and have more energy.
So next time you want to make a change, be easy on yourself and ease into it.
